NBA SEMI-FINALS
(ITA) Per gli amanti della pallacanestro ed in particolar modo della NBA, questo è sicuramente il periodo più caldo della stagione: i play-off.
Quella fase della stagione in cui ci si gioca tutto ed in cui ogni gara, ogni centimetro ed ogni passo falso potrebbe compromettere quanto è stato fatto nelle 82 partite di regular season. Si dice che nella post-season vinca chi ha più esperienza, chi esprima il miglior gioco di squadra, chi davvero crede in ciò che fa, in un momento in cui i campioni devono dimostrare di essere tali e dove il sudore cade dalle fronti cade copioso sul parquet.

(ITA) Quest'anno entrambe le semifinali di conference sono passate da gara 7: la gara decisiva, in cui chi vince si porta a casa tutto e soprattutto stacca il biglietto delle Finals. Nella parte qui sotto parlerò dei vincitori e dei perdenti, con una breve analisi tecnica di cosa può aver portato a questo risultato.

Per Boston, squadra martoriata dai tanti infortuni durante l'anno, il sogno si è spento proprio in casa, dove i Celtics hanno costruito nella loro storia gran parte dei loro successi. Di fronte avevano però una squadra molto più esperta (il quintetto titolare dei Cavs ha 31.4 anni di media, mentre quello di Boston 26) e soprattutto un LeBron James capace di avere medie stratosferiche lungo la serie (33.7 punti, 8.8 rimbalzi, 7.5 assist) e capace di andare tre volte su sette oltre i 40 punti. Per la squadra di Boston, che ha mostrato nella partita decisiva tutti i suoi problemi offensivi dopo le perdite di Hayword e Irving con soli 79 punti. Alla fine però per la squadra di Stevens il bichiere lo si può considerare mezzo pieno, in quanto hanno dato grande spazio ai giovani e soprattutto hanno raggiunto una finale di conference dopo che erano stati visti spacciati già nei quarti contro Milwakee. Sicuramente il migliore della squadra è lo stesso stevens che è riuscito a esaltare i propri giocatori al massimo delle loro potenzialità.
Non si può dire lo stesso di Cleveland, dove coach Lue è visto maggiormente come una marionetta che un vero leader. Le mani che muovono la giostra di the Land sono sempre e comunque quelle del Re il quale ha portato alla fase conclusiva una squadra creata quasi da zero a febbraio. Egli è una variabile che troppo spesso viene sottovalutata e che ogni volta sorprende chiunque.

Western Semifinals
(ITA) Anche sulla costa ovest, martedì notte è stata giocata la partita decisiva tra i Rockets e gli Warriors. La gara è stata vinta da Golden State a Houston in una sfida divisa essenzialmente in due parti: nella prima James Harden ed i suoi compagni si sono dimostrati sicuramente più pronti ed hanno avuto per lunghi tratti il controllo del gioco. La squadra californiana è saputa restare vicina nel punteggio ed approfittare della pessima seconda metà dei Rockets: pessime medie al tiro e molte palle perse hanno permesso agli ospiti di prevalere.
Esce così dalla scena per la corsa al titolo l’MVP della stagione regolare Harden, sicuramente amareggiato: quest’anno Houston aveva tutte le carte in regola anche per vincere il titolo. Superare GS sicuramente non era un’impresa facile, ma riuscire a farlo sarebbe risultato un passo decisivo verso l’ambito anello.
Gli Warriors escono da questa sfida consapevoli di essere un’ottima squadra con Durant e Curry le principali stelle. In finale troveranno LeBron James, ma hanno tutte le carte in regola per trovare una soluzione al miglior giocatore della lega degli ultimi 10 anni.
Esce così dalla scena per la corsa al titolo l’MVP della stagione regolare Harden, sicuramente amareggiato: quest’anno Houston aveva tutte le carte in regola anche per vincere il titolo. Avrei davvero voluto vedere una finale "diversa" (soprattutto per il grande percorso di Boston e il bel gioco di Houston), ma niente anche quest'anno i tiri da tre vs the King si scontrano in ultimo atto che però sembra un pochino scontato, almeno per ora.....
Personalmente Boston l'ho vista come una grandissima forza mentale e difensiva, ma offensivamente molto scarsa. Sono riusciti ad arrivare ad un punto che per loro è risultato essere veramente un bel risultato vista l'annata, ma in finale non ce li vedevo prorpio.
Per quanto riguarda Houston li vedevo molto più vicini alle Finals rispetto a GS, ma in gara 7 hanno peccato prorpio sul loro punto forte, il tiro da 3.
PS: grazie del passaggio. Purtroppo siamo solo pochi che seguiamo il filone sportivo su SPI e meno delle dita di una mano gli appassionati di basket. Mi fanno piacere i commenti anche di quei pochi!
