Ciao a tutti,
ero rimasto l'ultima volta con la presentazione della mia prima Vespa d'epoca e oggi son qua a deliziarvi con il proseguo:
“Vespa P125X America del 1982”

Hi everyone,
I remained for the last time with the presentation of my first vintage Vespa and today I am here to delight you with the continuation:
“Vespa P125X America of 1982”

Dopo circa un'anno dal mio primo acquisto, sentivo l'esigenza di fare un'ulteriore salto di qualità in questo meraviglioso mondo delle moto d'epoca.
Mi serviva una moto comoda, dove si potevano fare gite in due senza affaticare troppo schiena e sedere, con uno spunto in più a livello prestazionale per fare raduni dove si prevedevano salite in collina o montagna, dove potevo lasciarla parcheggiata in tranquillità senza rischi che qualcuno poteva portarmela via.
Insomma il suo arrivo è stato un successone anche se ho dovuto metterci mano per sistemare motore e migliorare la qualità estetica.
Una volta finito il restauro, ho potuto fare l'iscrizione al ”FMI” (Registro storico), con la richiesta persino della Targa oro.
Era sbocciata dopo il restauro.... ero molto soddisfatto. :)
Oltre alle solite gite e raduni, questa Vespa ha avuto un compito molto importante:
“Vespa World Day 2006”

About a year after my first purchase, I felt the need to make a further qualitative leap in this wonderful world of vintage motorcycles.
I needed a comfortable bike, where you could make trips in two without tiring too much back and sitting, with an extra boost to the performance level to make rallies where you expected climbs in the hill or mountain, where I could leave her parked in tranquility without risk that someone could take it away.
In short, his arrival was a success, even though I had to get involved to fix the engine and improve the aesthetic quality.
Once the restoration had been completed, I was able to sign up for the "FMI" (historical register), with the request even for the Targa oro.
It had bloomed after the restoration.... I was very satisfied. :)
In addition to the usual trips and gatherings, this Vespa had a very important task:
“Vespa World Day 2006”

Praticamente, ogni anno, viene organizzato un evento mondiale in qualsiasi località, decisa dagli organizzatori, e quell'anno era prevista come location LONDRA.
Non avendo mai visitato Londra, decisi immediatamente di iscrivermi e insieme ad altre nove persone, abbiamo intrapreso questa super avventura.

Virtually every year, a worldwide event is organized in any location decided by the organizers, and that year was planned as a LONDON location.
Having never visited London, I immediately decided to join me and together with nine other people, we embarked on this super adventure.

Non potevamo arrivare direttamente in Vespa, ci volevano troppi giorni; quindi abbiamo spedito tutte le nostre moto con un camion da noi organizzato, per poi raggiungerle direttamente in aereo dopo un paio di giorni.
Girare per Londra in Vespa è stata una emozione indescrivibile; sotto certi versi anche un po' pericolosa visto che si guida dalla parte opposta.
Però, presa la mano, è stata una esperienza magnifica.
L'evento è durato 4 giorni e non vi dico quanta pioggia abbiamo preso, nonostante era metà giugno.
Insomma con questa Vespa ne ho condivise di avventure, belle e brutte, ma come ogni cosa può capitare il divorzio..... e così è stato dopo due anni di convivenza.
Rimarrà sempre nel mio cuore. ;)

We couldn't get directly to Vespa, it took us too many days, so we shipped all our bikes with a truck organized by us, and then we reached them directly by plane after a couple of days.
Turning around London to Vespa was an indescribable emotion; in some ways it was a bit dangerous as you drive on the other side.
But, taking the hand, it was a wonderful experience.
The event lasted 4 days and I do not tell you how much rain we took, despite it was mid-June.
In short, with this Vespa I shared some beautiful and ugly adventures, but like everything else divorce can happen...... and so it was after two years of cohabitation.
It will always remain in my heart. ;)
