Across Andalucia p3 - Playa de Monsul (ITA-ENG-FRA)

Here I am with the story of a new corner of Andalusia, this time I will talk about a really special beach I visited at the end of July.
The "playa de la ensenada de Mónsul" is so beautiful that she was chosen as a set for several movies such as "The NeverEnding story" of 1984, "Hable con ella" by Pedro Almodóvar of 2002, but my favorite is the mythical scene of "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade" (1989) in which Sean Connery, to save himself and his son "Indi" from the attack of a plane, uses an umbrella to scare a flock of birds resting in the shadow of the famous rock and it makes them fly against the engines of the plane making it falls!

Eccomi di nuovo qui con il racconto di un nuovo angolo di Andalusia, questa volta vi parlerò di una spiaggia davvero speciale che ho visitato alla fine dello scorso luglio.
La “playa de la ensenada de Mónsul” infatti è talmente bella che è stata scelta come set per diversi film come “La storia infinita” del 1984, “Parla con lei” di Pedro Almodóvar del 2002, ma la mia preferita è la mitica scena di “Indiana Jones e l'ultima crociata” (1989) nella quale Sean Connery, per salvare se stesso e il figlio “Indi” dall’attacco di un aereo, utilizza un ombrello per spaventare uno stormo di uccelli che riposavano all’ombra della famosa roccia e li fa volare contro i motori dell’aereo facendolo precipitare!
The beach is located within the Natural Park of Cabo de Gata-Nijar and is about 40 minutes by car from the city of Almeria.
Once you get to the city of San José you have to take a dirt road about 5 km long, accessible by a normal car, which leads you near the beach, here is a cheap parking that costs 5 euros at day and that includes the possibility to park in two other beaches in the area.
If you want to arrive by car I recommend getting there before 10 am, in fact in July and August you could find the car park full, alternatively you can take a bus leaving from San José and arriving at the beach in about half an hour.
From the parking you can admire the beach.
La spiaggia si trova all’interno del Parco naturale di Cabo de Gata-Nijar e dista circa 40 minuti in automobile dalla città di Almeria.
Arrivati alla città di San José bisogna prendere un tratto di strada sterrato lungo circa 5 km, percorribile con una normale automobile, che porta vicino alla spiaggia, qui c'è un parcheggio molto comodo che costa 5 euro al giorno e che comprende la possibilità di parcheggiare in altre due spiagge della zona.
Se volete arrivare in macchina vi consiglio di arrivare prima delle 10 di mattina, infatti a luglio e ad agosto potreste trovare il parcheggio completo, in alternativa è possibile prendere un autobus che parte da San José e che arriva alla spiaggia in circa mezzora.
Dal parcheggio potete già ammirare la spiaggia.
The distinctive features of this magnificent place are the millions years old large volcanic rock almost at the center of the beach and the large dune situated next to the beach; you can climb both!...In which case I recommend a hat and a hanky covering mouth and nose, in fact on the dune there is often wind and the sand flies!
Le caratteristiche che distinguono questo magnifico posto sono la grande roccia di origine vulcanica quasi al centro della spiaggia che ha milioni di anni di età e la grande duna che si trova a lato della spiaggia; si possono scalare entrambe!...Nel qual caso consiglio un copricapo e un fazzoletto che copra bocca e naso, infatti sulla duna spesso c’è vento e vola la sabbia!
The sand is thin and white and the water is clear and shining...gorgeous!
There are even many kinds of fish that swim in the water with the bathers and I seemed to recognize the mackerel! It seems to be in a tropical beach!
La sabbia è fine e bianca e l’acqua è limpida e scintillante...splendida!
Ci sono addirittura molti tipi di pesci per nulla intimoriti che nuotano nell’acqua insieme ai bagnanti e mi è parso di riconoscere degli sgombri! Sembra di trovarsi in una spiaggia tropicale!
The water temperature was very pleasant and you can walk for many meters in the water before going down!
Around the beach there are very special rock formations.
La temperatura dell’acqua era molto gradevole ed è possibile camminare per molti metri nell’acqua prima di andare giù!
Intorno alla spiaggia ci son delle formazioni rocciose molto particolari.
This too, like playa de los Genoveses (which I spoke in my previous article), is not an equipped beach and there are no catering services so...bring with you to eat and drink!
Anche questa, come playa de los Genoveses (della quale ho parlato nel mio precedente articolo), non è una spiaggia attrezzata e non sono presenti servizi di ristorazione quindi...portate con voi da mangiare e da bere!

Je suis ici avec l'histoire d'un nouveau coin de l'Andalousie, cette fois je parlerai d'une plage vraiment spéciale que j'ai visité à la fin de juillet.
La « Playa de la Ensenada de Monsul » en fait, il est si beau qu'il a été choisi comme emplacement pour plusieurs films tels que «The Neverending Story» en 1984, «Hable con ella» de Pedro Almodóvar en 2002, mais ma préféré est la scène mythique de «Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade» (1989) dans laquelle Sean Connery, pour sauver lui-même et son fils «Indi» par l'attaque d'un avion, en utilisant un parapluie pour faire peur à un troupeau d'oiseaux qui reposait à l'ombre du célèbre rocher, il les fait voler contre les moteurs de l'avion, en faisant tomber l'avion!
La plage est située dans le parc naturel de Cabo de Gata-Nijar et environ à 40 minutes de voiture de la ville d'Almeria.
En arrivant à la ville de San Jose, vous devez prendre un chemin de terre longue environ 5 km, accessible avec une voiture normale, qui conduit près de la plage, ici il y a un parking très pratique qui coûte 5 euros par jour et qui permet la possibilité pour se garer dans deux autres plages de la région.
Si vous voulez utiliser la voiture, je vous suggère d'arriver avant 10 heures du matin, en effet, en Juillet et en Août, vous pouvez trouver le parking complet, alternativement vous pouvez prendre un bus de San José qui arrive à la plage en environ une demi-heure.
Du parking, vous pourrez admirer la plage.
Les caractéristiques qui distinguent ce lieu magnifique sont la grande roche volcanique près du centre de la plage qui a des millions d'années et une grande dune qui est située sur le côté de la plage; vous pouvez monter les deux! ... dans ce cas, je recommande un chapeau et un foulard pour couvrir la bouche et le nez, en fait sur la dune souvent souffle le vent qui fait voler la sable!
La sable est fine et blanche et l'eau est claire et scintillante ... magnifique!
Il y a même de nombreux types de poissons qui nagent dans l'eau avec les baigneurs et je pense d'avoir reconnu le maquereau! Il semble d'être dans une plage tropicale!
La température de l'eau était très agréable et on peut marcher pendant plusieurs mètres dans l'eau avant de descendre!
Autour de la plage il existent des formations rocheuses très spéciales.
Cela aussi, comme paya de los Genoveses (qui j’ai mentionné dans mon article précédent), est une plage non guidée et il n'y a pas de services de restauration ... apportez donc avec vous de la nourriture et des boissons!
