Accessories needed to play a electric guitar

Steemians friends well found! What are we talking about today? Let's talk about the accessories used to play our guitar.

We bought our first electric guitar (I hope you did it following my previous post guidelines) but to play we need some accessories to buy separately.

Let's start with a fundamental accessory: the tuner. What is that? It is an electronic instrument that allows us to perfectly tune our guitar and not make it produce unpleasant and out of tune sounds. There are tuners for all budgets, starting from just a few euros up to hundreds, but a few dozen euros is just fine.
Below in the picture I put two examples of tuners, on the left a classic to be connected by cable, on the right a type of clip tuner to be stapled on the headstock.
I personally use the latter, which is very convenient and practical as it does not need to be connected by cable every time we tune the instrument.

The next purchase to study music is a metronome. Here, too, prices range from a few euros to many but fans all do the same job. There are digital and pocket-sized or classic with the cue that swings. Below, two more photos as an example. You can save money simply by downloading one of the hundreds of smartphone apps, but personally I prefer to use a digital physical metronome, like the one on the right in the photos.

Finally, to hear our sound, we need a sound amplifier and the connection cable. On the amplifiers we will now treat only a couple of types superficially to study at home, so we will opt for something small but of good quality, focusing on powers ranging from 5W to 10W. I don't recommend going further for home amplifiers, these powers are more than enough to get a good sustained sound. There are also small 1W battery-powered amplifiers, I don't recommend them because the cost comes close to those from 3 and 5W, besides having a sound similar to transistor radios. Avoid.

For guitar / amp connection cables, purchase a good quality cable. It will last you a long time avoiding unpleasant incidents while playing.

Accessori necessari per suonare la chitarra elettrica

Amici Steemians ben ritrovati! Di cosa parliamo oggi? Parliamo degli accessori che servono a suonare la nostra chitarra.

Abbiamo acquistato la nostra prima chitarra elettrica (spero lo abbiate fatto seguendo le mie linee guida di qualche post precedente) ma per suonare necessitiamo di alcuni accessori da acquistare a parte.

Partiamo da un accessorio fondamentale: l'accordatore. Che cos'è? E' uno strumento elettronico che ci permette di accordare perfettamente la nostra chitarra e non fargli produrre suoni sgradevoli e stonati. Vi sono accordatori per tutte le tasche, a partire da pochi Euro fino alle centinaia, ma uno da qualche decina di Euro va più che bene.
Sotto in foto vi metto due esempi di accordatori, a sx uno classico da collegare tramite cavo, a dx un tipo di accordatore a clip da pinzare sulla paletta.
Personalmente utilizzo quest'ultimo, molto comodo e pratico in quanto non serve collegarlo tramite cavo tutte le volte ch accordiamo lo strumento.

Il prossimo acquisto per studiare musica, è un metronomo. Anche qui i prezzi vanno da pochi Euro a molti ma fan tutti lo stesso lavoro. Ci sono digitali e tascabili oppure classici con la stecca che oscilla. Sotto, altre due foto a titolo esemplificativo. Potete risparmiare soldi semplicemente scaricando una delle centinaia di app per smartphone, ma personalmente preferisco utilizzare un metronomo fisico digitale, tipo quello a dx nelle foto.

Infine, per sentire il nostro suono, ci serve un amplificatore di suono ed il cavo di collegamento. Sugli amplificatori ora tratteremo superficialemte solo un paio di tipi per studiare a casa, quindi opteremo per qualcosa di piccolo ma di buona qualità orientandoci su potenze che vanno dai 5W ai 10W. Non consiglio di andare oltre per amplificatori da casa, queste potenze sono più che sufficienti per ottenere un buon suono sostenuto. Esistono anche piccoli amplificatori a batteria da 1W, li sconsiglio perchè il costo si avvicina a quelli da 3 e 5W, oltre ad avere un suono simile alle radio a transistor. Evitate.

Per i cavi di collegamento chitarra/ampli, acquistate un buon cavo di ottima qualità. Vi durerà a lungo evitando spiacevoli inconvenienti mentre suonate.
