Photo Contest: Old Wet Rose

Era già da qualche settimana che avevo in mente di postare questa fotografia. Grazie a questo contest fotografico ho colto l'occasione per mostrarvela.
Ho scattato questa foto la scorsa estate in una mattinata ancora umida dopo una notte di forte temporale. Ero uscito con la mia Canon EOS 60D e la mia ottica migliore EF 17-40 f4L cercando qualcosa di particolare da catturare. Camminando ho scorto un giardino privato con un piccolo cespuglio di rose. Le gocce d'acqua sui petali hanno attirato la mia attenzione, così mi sono avvicinato ed ho realizzato un pò di scatti con diverse aperture di diaframma.
Tornato a casa ho scelto questa, in cui la piccola rosa è a fuoco e quella più grande sfocata, e ciò dà una maggiore provondità alla scena. Ho proceduto poi con un pò di fotoritocco, regolando i dettagli, il contrasto e i colori per ottenere un'effetto di foto invecchiata.

It's been few weeks that I was thinking about posting this photo. Thanks to this photo contest, I finally show it to you.
I shoot this photo last summer in a wet morning after a stormy night. I was out with my Canon EOS 60D with my top gear EF 17-40 f4L looking for something partuicular to capture. Walking along, I saw a private garden with a little bush of roses. The waterdrops over the petals captured my attentions, so I get closer and took some shoot with different aperture settings.
Back home I choose this one with the little rose on focus and the big one blurred, that give more deep to the composition. Then I did some postproduction with Photoshop, stetting up details and contrast, adjusting the colors to reach an old mood to the whole composition.
