Lo stacco da terra - the Deadlift , entry for Jenny's art contest week 5 (ITA-ENG)
I decided to depict the deadlift, my favourite barbell exercise : it's a simple but brutal and primordial movement, that implies lifting a weight from the floor untill your back and chest are straight, and your legs are fully locked.
Obviously there are techniques you should follow to avoid hurting yourself, and the load you choose to use depends from the goals you want to achieve.
As you can see in my illustration, with bigger weights you can use a mixed grip (one hand pronated, the other supinated), to stop the bar from sliding in your palms.

Ho scelto di raffigurare lo stacco da terra, il mio esercizio preferito tra quelli che si possono fare con il bilanciere : è un movimento primordiale e brutale ma anche semplice, in cui bisogna alzare un peso da terra fino alla completa estensione del busto e della schiena, e le gambe sono distese.
Ovviamente ci sono delle tecniche da seguire per non farsi male, e il peso che usate dipende dai vostri obbiettivi.
Come vedete nella mia illustrazione, col salire del carico si può impiegare la presa mista (una mano supina e una prona), per evitare che il bilanciere scivoli all'interno del palmo.
