Il disegno di oggi è un progetto che avevo iniziato un paio di anni fa ma che non mi aveva mai convinto troppo per la bassa qualità dei materiali renderizzati. Oggi con nuovi software a disposizione ho provato a impostare nuove texture e il risultato mi piace molto di più. Il metallo è brillante, molto più realistico di quello usato all'inizio del progetto.
Avrete riconosciuto la figura dell'Uomo Vitruviano di Leonardo da Vinci. Il progetto era nato per creare il logo di ItaStem ma alla fine non credo sia mai stato usato. Così spulciando tra i miei lavori, questa mattina mi è capitato fra le mani e ho deciso di "aggiornarlo". Ho usato due modelli Cyborg, per le due posizioni, ho inserito i materiali del metallo, acciao lucido per l'esoscheletro e alluminio azzurro/verde per l'armatura. Ho renderizzato entrambe le figure e poi le ho importate in Photoshop. Subito ho sovrapposto i due Cyborg e con una maschera ho eliminato le parti doppie, la testa e il busto. Ho disegnato il cerchio e il quadrato interno al Cyborg Vitruviano e li ho resi simili al vetro.
Un mix di storia e futuro, d'altronde Leonardo è sempre stato proiettato verso il futuro, molti suoi progetti, impossibili per l'epoca, hanno poi trovato sviluppo nei tempi moderni, centinaia di anni dopo la sua morte.
Questo è un mio piccolo tributo al genio di Leonardo da Vinci.
Spero di non risultare blasfemo agli occhi degli estimatori di Leonardo.

Vitruvian Cyborg
Today's drawing is a project that I started a couple of years ago but that never convinced me too much for the low quality of the materials rendered. Today with new software available I tried to set up new textures and I like the result much more. The metal is bright, much more realistic than the one used at the beginning of the project.
You will have recognized the figure of the Vitruvian Man by Leonardo da Vinci. The project was born to create the ItaStem logo but in the end I don't think it has ever been used. So, while looking through my works, this morning it happened to me and I decided to "update" it. I used two Cyborg models, for the two positions, I inserted the materials of metal, polished steel for the exoskeleton and blue / green aluminum for the armor. I rendered both figures and then imported them into Photoshop. Immediately I superimposed the two Cyborgs and with a mask I eliminated the double parts, the head and the torso. I drew the circle and the square inside the Cyborg Vitruviano and I made them similar to glass.
A mix of history and future, on the other hand Leonardo has always been projected into the future, many of his projects, impossible for the time, have then found development in modern times, hundreds of years after his death.
This is a small tribute of mine to the genius of Leonardo da Vinci.
I hope I am not blasphemous in the eyes of Leonardo's admirers.
