Qualche anno fa assieme ai membri del mio gruppo decidemmo di registrare un Ep autoprodotto con 5 canzoni, andammo in uno studio musicale a registrare ma non avendo molte risorse ed avendo speso 1500 euro per registrare, un prezzo di favore, la parte di promozione sarebbe toccata a noi, in particolare a me, mi attivai dunque su FB (dove è possibile caricare le proprie canzoni e fare una pagina del gruppo) e Twitter riguardo la promozione della band. Riuscii a raggiungere 3000 amici sul FB sul profilo personale e raggiungere più di mille “mi piace” sulla pagina del gruppo, più di 10000 followers su Twitter senza dover pagare, con il solo sudore dei polpastrelli.
Ciò portò ad avere un migliaio di visualizzazione del nostro disco su Youtube, di soldi neanche l'ombra ma sicuramente la soddisfazione personale nell'essere riuscito in autonomia a ricevere dei risultati decenti e quella di essere riuscito a farlo arrivare in svariate parti del mondo!
Ogni persona che l'ha ascoltato o scaricato suscita in me una grandissima soddisfazione e mi rende orgoglioso, anche considerato il genere fatto dalla mia band che non è molto commerciale, ma per fortuna ci sono un sacco di appassionati pronti a darti una mano a diffondere la tua musica soprattutto perché l'abbiamo regalata a tutti.
Personalmente ho spesso scaricato musica, quindi torvo giusto che quando faccio qualcosa di farla gratuitamente anch'io, diffondere la propria musica senza il supporto di etichette o promoter (ne abbiamo assoldato uno per tre mesi ma sono riuscito a fare più di lui da solo) non è semplice, come potete facilmente immaginare.
Se volete cimentarvi in questa impresa ecco alcuni siti che possono aiutarvi a diffondere la vostra musica in modo completamente gratuito!

Reverbnation

Il primo di cui voglio parlarvi è secondo me il migliore di tutti per come è stato costruito. Ci si può scrivere tramite FB o con il proprio indirizzo mail. É possibile aggiungere la propria biografia e varie informazioni legate al disco. Grafica accattivante, sito in stile social network con la possibilità sia di commentare le pagine degli artisti, mandarsi messaggi e aumentare i propri followers sia nel sito stesso che collegando i propri account twitter e facebook. Si possono scaricare canzoni in mp3, creare la propria playlist, contattare i gruppi tramite messaggio, commentare sulla loro pagina e diventarne fans, collegare i vari canali delle vostre pagine dei social, aggiungere le recensioni che sono state fatte al disco del gruppo. Nella pagina vedrete il totale dei vostri fans di reverbantion che vanno a sommarsi a quelli twitter, FB, google+ ed agli iscritti al vostro canale youtube che saranno tutti sincronizzati per cercare di calare la classifica interna del sito nel ranking nazionale ed internazionale. Dotato di galleria fotografica per poter aggiungere le foto della vostra band. Nella versione PRO a pagamento ci sono moltissime competizioni e concorsi musicali.

Bandcamp

Qui si possono ascoltare, scaricare ed acquistare canzoni. É possibile aggiungere la propria biografia e varie informazioni legate al disco. Si possono decidere vari formati di file da caricare e per scaricare, dalla bassa all'altissima qualità. Si può scegliere il prezzo da far pagare per scaricare l'album o per la canzone singola oppure metterlo gratis, e saranno gli ascoltatori a decidere se farvi un offerta o scaricarselo gratuitamente. Se si sceglie di fare pagare puoi scegliere di fare ascoltare una canzone sola gratis o di poter fare ascoltare soltanto una trentina di secondi di uno o più canzoni a scopo promozionale. Sito molto semplice, si possono seguire gli altri artisti in stile Steemit cliccando il tasto follow sulla pagina del gruppo. Potete caricare le canzoni per farle scaricare gratuitamente o deciderne il prezzo. Si può vendere il merchandise della vostra band. Una minima percentuale delle vendite di canzoni e merchandise andrà al sito per l'auto-sostentamento. E' possibile iscriversi come utenti o musicisti, è dotato di sezione d'iscrizione anche per le etichette discografiche ed esiste una versione PRO a pagamento con moltissime opzioni aggiuntive. Semplice e intuitivo, grafica ed opzioni aggiuntive in continuo aggiornamento.

Probabimente il più famoso tra tutti, con tantissimi generi musicali diversi e vi si possono trovare molti artisti di livello internazionale. É possibile scaricare o ascoltare musica, si può addirittura commentare un momento preciso delle canzoni. É possibile aggiungere la propria biografia e varie informazioni legate al disco. Si possono condividere le canzoni, creare la propria playlist ed è dotato di funzione in stile resteem! Funziona in stile Steemit con possibilità di follow! Cliccando sull'icona col cuore si possono possono upvotare le canzoni. Ci sono stazioni radio su cui poter ascoltare i propri generi musicali preferiti. Si può rimanere in contatto tra gruppi mandandosi messaggi privati o aggiungere le caznoni di altri gruppi sulla propria playlist.

Jamendo

Assolutamente gratuito e principalmente per musica undeground, contiene un numero veramente ampissimo di generi e rarità musicali. Iscrizione e grafica semplice, dotato di player musicale permette di poter scaricare facilmente e gratuitamente la musica. É possibile aggiungere la propria biografia e varie informazioni legate al disco. Dopo aver caricato il nostro disco ho notate che è stato scaricato da centinaia di persone, purtroppo non è possibile mettersi in contatto con altri utenti direttamente sul sito, anche se sembra rinnovarsi abbastanza soventemente.

Radioairplay.com

Sito abbastanza scarno ma immediato in modalità gratuita, facilissimo iscriversi dove si possono caricare un paio di brani e si avranno 10 crediti settimanali gratuiti per essere messi su radio online da cui i papabili fans potranno cliccare sul link FB da voi messe per poi accedere ai vostri canali internet. Utile per farsi conoscere da qualche utente in più, noto che con questo sito riusciamo a "racimolare" un paio di fans al mese. Se si vogliono avere più crediti si possono pagare diverse cifre, la più bassa attualmente è di 50 dollari per avere 1500 crediti divisi in 250 ogni mese per la durata di sei mesi.

Rockit

Uno dei siti top nel nostro panorama nazionale, potete caricare le vostre canzoni gratuitamente e ricevere a richiesta una recensione dallo stesso sito. É possibile aggiungere la propria biografia e varie informazioni legate al proprio disco. Dotato di player per ascoltare le canzoni senza però poterle scaricare. Collaborano con Music Raiser che permette con un paio di click di poter partecipare alle seguenti opzioni se si viene scelti:

• Crowdfunding: per riuscire a finanziare il tuo album, vinili e video, o altri progetti musicali.
• Album Pre Order: per vendere e promuovere il tuo album e il tuo merchandise.
• Ticket Pre Order: per promuovere e vendere i biglietti e il tuo merchandise durante i tuoi concerti.

A few years ago, with my band members, we decided to record a self-produced Ep with 5 songs, we went to a recording studio to record it but not having really much resources and having spent 1500 euros to record it, a friend price, the promotion part would be ours, in particular to me, I activate myself on FB (where you can upload your own songs and make a band page) and Twitter about the promotion of the band. I managed to reach 3000 friends on the FB on my personal profile and reach more than a thousand "likes" on the band's page, more than 10000 followers on Twitter without paying, with just the fingers sweat.
This led to having a 1000 views of our EP on Youtube, no money of course but surely the personal satisfaction in being able to get decent results and being able to reach many countries of the world!
Everyone who listened or downloaded it gives me a great satisfaction and makes me proud, even considering the genre made by my band that is not very commercial, but luckily there are a lot of fans ready to give you a hand to spread your music especially because we gave it to everyone for free.
Personally, I often downloaded music, so when I do something I do it for free too, spreading my music without the support of labels or promoters (we paid one for three months but I managed better by myself than him) It's not as simple as you can easily imagine.

Here you can listen, download and buy songs.

Poor in graphic design but immediate in free mode, easy to subscribe where you can upload a few songs and you will have 10 free weekly credits to be put on online radio from which the fans will click on the FB link that youcan set up in and then access to your internet channels. Useful to get some more fans, with this site we can get a couple of fans each month. If you want to have more credits you can pay different prices , the lowest currently is $ 50 to have 1500 credits divided into 250 each month for six months.
