M$ Update - "Wait An Hour" button analysis...

in #it6 years ago

M$ is treating The Public like it's never had windows fail in one of their updates, which is "certainly" not the case for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Analysis:
If M$ is FORCING the update, it's showing that they've designed the OS in a way that it can't be compromised by poorly written applications or drivers (if it was working before it should be able to work after), and it should be responsible if the update fails (other than hardware issues). It should be responsible for online transactions that didn't happen because M$ failed. That 29% interest payment you got because your device was inconveniently/needlessly out of action, or the $ amount of those sales that couldn't take place, reducing your income.
M$ could lobby government to have anyone $$$ impacted by the M$ Update failures have their debt fees forgiven etc etc.
You would expect to see things like this if a company was 1/ responsible, 2/ felt its product was important, and 3/ had faith in its product.

Instead, I'm sure M$ will cling to its past of "reams of license" stating its not responsible.

Which tells you that the Windows OS is still a rudimentary piece of software (compared to human modern times, it's still new and really hasn't been around very long), designed in a way that M$ still really doesn't have any trust in it. A product that's not part of society, but something that's not important, just another product that will have a lifespan and will go away.

As this is the case, M$ should NOT EVER FORCE or come anywhere near to FORCING an update on a user.

Of course, a totally ANTI-Public company just ignores little things like inconvenience to users and forces the update.

Which leads to the question of if this latest M$ CEO Satya Nadella is another mean fucker, directing the OS to be continued to be designed Full On Mean?
