Bomb Siren Sounds in Israel - I took this video one night when the Sirens went off here in Ashkelon. The Kids Freak Out every time.
Fortunately we haven't had many sirens sound over the last year and 1/2. I thought you might like to hear the sounds that wake people up here in the city when the siren does sound. Every home, apartment here in Ashkelon has a bomb shelter (Isreali law). We simply run to the shelter when the sirens sound and stay for 10 minutes. We jump out of our skin when this puppy sounds. Also, the iron dome that shoots down rockets is about 1000 yard behind our building. Thanks for watching.
PS: Just watch the first minute of the video. I put the camera on the ledge of our building and left it recording so the last 4 minutes is just the City at night time.

We jump up real fast when that thing goes off. We live in the same apartment now. Every few days we still hear jets and attack helicopters flying toward Gaza. We live about 8 miles away from Gaza. I hope for peace between the 2 sides. Thanks for viewing. I'm following your blog.

Man, that sucks. Do you know that the Gaza guys win every time they fire a rocket? If it actually comes down they see this as a victory (even if it hit nothing but a empty field. And if its intercepted by a missile, they also win, because their rocket cost them $50 but a patriot missile costs $100.000. They can do this forever - what about Israel?
