Israel Digging Their Grave? France and US Stepping in to Prevent Escalation

Last week there was a lot of commotion after Israel was deemed to have committed an act of war against Lebanon with a drone attack. Over the weekend, Israel and Hezbollah had a serious back and forth with missiles, shells, and border firing. It has come to a point that the Lebanon Prime Minister has called upon the US and France to help calm the tensions. Overnight there was calm after this lashing out between the two. A top defence official spoke on the actions of the last few days:

Israel has been operating against Iran in several arenas and operated in two additional fronts within a recent 24-hour span of time. "In recent days, we were attacked from several fronts," the official said. "We were in simultaneous attack mode in multiple places."
“Had we had not acted correctly we would be in a different reality today,” he said.
