The story of laying down the aswad
During the Prophet Muhammad SAW has not been appointed as an Apostle to the whole of nature, he has been known as a very honest, family background of respectable and has the advantage to muffle inter-tribal dispute (kampung). So that several times young Muhammad was entrusted with crucial decisions concerning common interests.
One of the most popular examples of the success of Prophet SAW settling disputes among his people before he was enemies for spreading the teachings of Islam was when the Ka'bah renovation took place.
At that time, the people of Makkah renovate the Ka'bah after the flood disaster that drowned the city, including the Kaaba building. This condition invites the Quraysh to build the Ka'bah again in order to maintain the honor and sanctity of their ancestral relic site, Ibrahim AS which is preserved.
According to the most suhih history, when the Prophet was 35 years old. Actively involved in development from beginning to end. At first, they were united, hand in hand among themselves. But when the development enters the final stages, namely the procession laying the Black Stone.
They began to dispute opinions, Who are the figures among those who deserve the honor of placing the Black Stone as a sign of the completion of the renovation and begin to be reused. Many opinions are emerging and mutually confusing. Each one wants to put forward his own group leader.
Until finally Muhammad, Husband Khadija proposed, "Whoever tomorrow morning comes early to the building (renovation) then he is entitled to the honor of placing the Black Stone." The people agreed, they believe this is the best way for them.
The next day, it turns out that who came early most, the first is Muhammad himself, then he is entitled to put the revered aswad as a sign of the inauguration of the Ka'bah again. But apparently Muhammad was not a selfish man. He then unfurled his turban to put the beat of the aswad on it and invited several other figures to take part in placing the aswad together. So they are satisfied with the decision of Muhammad. So it is in the book of Nurul Yaqin fi Siroti Sayyidil Mursalin.
