Aloha your WildNess! Well that shot was very much fun and I'll share some similar ones I got soon.
I'm using a Fuji XT-20 and the humble 55-200.
I thought perhaps you would appreciate simply having a capture of my settings and setup. I upped my aperture a touch just to make sure I got the whole bird in focus depth wise!
Wow! That’s a nifty little camera! And a humble 200mm - I have a 300mm (a cheapo piece of glass) that can’t get nearly as nice shots (although it could be the user here ;P). I just recently started trying to photograph birds and realized I need to become a super stealthy ninja to get decent shots of birds! So that leads me to my next question: where did you learn your super stealth from? ;)

I guess I move quiet for a big guy LOL What camera are you using?
Canon 70D with a 70-200mm... the best I’ve got of birds is of them at my bird feeder 😂 and even then they are very skittish..
