Iran's threat to 'massive scale' nuclear program if deal breaks

In a statement on Friday, Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif said Iran will join international diplomatic efforts to save the nuclear deal. But at the same time they will also prepare to start the uranium enrichment program again.

Iran has taken to the streets protesting the trump, after the decision to abandon the six world powers signed nuclear deal with Iran in 2015. Jarif commented on the huge demonstration of thousands of Iranians.

After the Friday prayers in Tehran, the protesters burned the US flag and made a procession with slogans against the United States and Israel.

In the statement, Iranian Foreign Minister Zarif blamed Trump for ignorance and stupidity, saying that the US foreign policy pushed the Middle East into chaos.

He said Iran will try to save the deal through discussions with other European countries signed on the agreement.

Zarif will be meeting in Germany, France and UK foreign ministers in Brussels on Tuesday.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel said that due to the withdrawal of the United States from the treaty, there was serious harm. It is going to be difficult to save the contract because such a large economic power is moving away from the country.

Iran has signed a ten-year agreement with Germany and five permanent members of the Security Council in 2015 to draw the reins of Tehran's nuclear program on condition of withdrawal of UN, US and EU sanctions.

According to the agreement, as well as reducing the number of centrifuges used for enrichment of uranium during the last three years, Tehran has regularly allowed international experts and inspectors to visit their nuclear facilities regularly.

The Donald Trump was criticized by the early signing of the deal signed during the Obama administration. In a declaration on Tuesday, he decided to withdraw from the US and put a fresh ban on Iran.

However, other countries signing the agreement say they are still committed to the contract.
