will iran join the war?

This topic has been increasingly mentioned lately, especially following Israel's official offensive in the Rafah region. In fact, the magnifying effect of public opinion has greatly amplified many sensationalist statements on this subject. In reality, war may just be a part of the daily life in the Palestinian territories. For the time being, let us assume that the war between Israel and Palestine has reached a religious level, and both sides have their own reasons that trace back thousands of years, making it impossible to judge right from wrong. Another perspective is that the dead should be honored; after all, too many of the poor have died in Palestine, suggesting that justice should side with the weak. However, this argument is not entirely rigorous. Of course, for the lovely Iranian people, some of my Iranian friends see this as a dilemma. But it doesn't seem to be such a difficult choice because Iran's national strength is not suited for war, and making money to survive is the most important thing.

For the Iranians, belonging to the Islamic world, even though they are not part of the Arab faction, for Muslims, this is a reason to be united. Muslims should stick together, but if you revisit history, you'll find that Iran did not believe in Islam at first. To put it plainly, believing in Islam was something that came about several hundred years after being defeated by the Arabs. Simply saying that they stand with Muslims is not so pure. If we go further back in history, the region of Persia, now Iran, was ruled by Greeks, Arabs, Turks, and Mongols. Because of repeated subjugation and subsequent rebellion, resilience and a spirit of defiance have been ingrained in the people of this nation. Jokingly speaking, Iran has always been in conflict with the most powerful countries of the times. The spirit of this nation is filled with confidence and perseverance.

Concerning the relationship between Israel and Iran, they have a friendly history from ancient times, like when the Persian Empire (the predecessor of Iran) and the Jewish people engaged in amiable exchanges. For example, the Persian Emperor Cyrus once released the "Babylonian captives" of the Jews, permitting them to return to Palestine. During the pro-American Pahlavi era (1925-1979), the two were also very close. However, with subsequent changes like the Islamic Revolution and the Cold War, these dynamics led to the current situation.

In conclusion, you might feel that the Palestinian-Israeli issue is a political tool for Iranian governance, and the Iranian people are of the nature to resist when harmed. If a missile strikes Iran, they will undoubtedly retaliate. But as for the question of whether to help Palestine, it still depends on the decisions of Iran's ruling class. This could involve the interests of many more countries. Short-term conflicts are bound to occur, but there is still some distance from an all-out war.
