US Forms the Iran Action Group
The United States has created an “Iran Action Group” to coordinate and run its aggressive policy toward Tehran following the unilateral withdrawal in May from the 2015 nuclear agreement.
Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Brian Hook, a special representative of Iran, announced on August 16th that a special group will be monitoring all aspects of the Iran-related activities.

“The United States certainly hopes for full compliance by all nations in terms of not risking the threat of US secondary sanctions if they continue with those transactions,” he said.
“We are prepared to impose secondary sanctions on other governments that continue this sort of trade with Iran,” Hook noted.
Russia, China, Britain, France, and Germany have been trying to restore or at least salvage the nuclear deal since President Trump removed the US from it, but this could make it a lot harder. Sanctions will be piled up on the Iran economy until things loosen up. Iran is biting their thumb in this as I'm sure they'd much rather wipe the US off the Earth, but that probably won't be happening as soon as people would hope. What are your thoughts?
