IOTA's new feature: Flash Channels
IOTA has a new BETA feature: Flash Channels.
Flash Channels enable two parties to make payments back and forth to each other outside of the regular IOTA channel. Flash Channels are still BETA but can be used already in the IOTA network.
The general idea is that 2 parties both lock up some IOTAs and open a payment channel. The payments between these two parties take place in a Flash Channel outside of the regular IOTA Tangle. Once parties close the channel, the result of all payments back and forth in the Flash Channel will be written on the regular IOTA tangle.
Purpose is to increase speed of payment and reduce required POW.
