On April 27, Ruff will join hands with Alibaba Cloud IoT to hold an IoT Workshop in Shanghai, enabling more Ruff Community users to get started with Ruff OS and participate in the building of Ruff ecosystem. Developers interested in IoT application development are welcome to register and experience the development process of Ruff IoT application on your own.

On May 1–3, Ruff Chain will be showcased at the WDAS 2018 World Digital Assets Summit in Singapore, presenting to five Bitfnex exchanges and top investors, amongst others, the value of circulation and use of RUFF Token in the field of IoT blockchain.

On May 3, Roy Li will appear in the live streaming room of Huobi, explaining the Deep Integration of IoT with Blockchain to the users around the world.

On April 17, Roy Li published a group-shared posting at huoxing24.com, entitled I Trust the Strength of Community and the Rise of Grassroots, which thoroughly expounded the difference between the token market investment and the classical internet VC: in traditional VC, the project party only needs to persuade the individual investors, while in the field of blockchain, trust with more people must be established. “The value of token circle originates from the community.” Almost every token ranking among top ones rises with the support of community, not from advocating by elite investors. “Elites need to firmly go deep into the common people, keep a low profile, and work diligently and in person at community building, so that they can grasp the opportunity and harvest something at the token market.”

On April 20, bishijie.com reported that, “according to the market information of bishijie.com, the highest rise of RUFF on April 19–20 hit 24.7%, leading the price rise in the IoT sector”. The current price is 0.0817 USD, close to the 200-hour moving average (0.083 USD).

Recently, Roy Li received an in-depth interview from jinse.com, expressing that “the blockchain has developed since 2009, and the public blockchain should develop into an app for all, just like water, electricity and coal. Developers can develop products on the blockchain for various scenarios, such as socializing, voting and point-to-point payment. It can be realized that, with only a simple set of SDK access public blockchain, data can go onto the chain, immutable and available for rapid access. The integration of IoT with blockchain aims to “connect online and offline elements and enable IoT assets to conduct token interaction on other chains.”

On April 23–25, Roy Li will attend the WBC World Blockchain Conference 3 AM Summit in Macao and deliver a speech on the technical application and implementation of blockchain in the field of IoT.

IoT access

Access of mechanical arm welding machine data: [The development of technical scheme of data acquisition based on the survey of main-stream welding robot welding machine system] may acquire and control the real-time data and working condition of welding machine in the mechanical arm, and realize the deep access of intermediate- and bottom-layer of Ruff IoT ecosystem, providing stable fundamental support for data of smart industry to go onto the chain.

Building of public blockchain

1. The minimum set of DPOS has been completed; it has passed testing of block generation and disconnection; there is temporarily no realization of penalty mechanism.

2. Since the UDP connection is unstable recently, the hybrid port in the P2P framework is realized ahead of schedule; some problems exist in the tcp part and the hybrid switching part, which does not affect the subsequent intranet development and testing.

3. The design of phase-1 architecture of framework has been completed; the initial interface documentation and pseudo-code have been released, under development.

4. The mechanism of storage engine snapshot is under research; at the initial stage, we plan to adopt the sqlite file characteristics.
