iOS 11 make iPad better. My Top 5

On the 5th of June Apple announced iOS 11 and I have finally installed the beta version on my iPad, I'm been pleasantly surprised Apple has made a good OS which compliments the iPad Pro range and makes it more like your using a Mac.

I often hear people asking why can't Apple do what Microsoft does and make touch screen Desktop and laptops? Well, I believe the reason being is sales, but under Steve Jobs, the Mac team and the iOS team were always separate teams and I believe this is still the case.

Anyway, enough waffle lets point out the key points of improvement and the new features that can be found in iOS 11 that make the iPad even more powerful.

The first thing I found was the all new dock at the bottom of the screen this has been made to look more like the Mac and the doc can be accessed at any time by swiping up.

You can drag an app from the dock and make it float above your full-screen app or you can snap it into a position so it works in a split screen mode.

The new Files app lets you browse files stored on your iPad. It also works with cloud services like iCloud Drive, Google Drive, Dropbox, and Box.

More can be done in control center, such as a control your Apple TV, control center provides you with a nifty replica of the Apple TV remote. (Control Center can be customized in settings)

iOS 11 allows you to drag and drop content between apps which is super handy when making those last minutes adjustments to that all important presentation.

These are just my top 5 items, there are many many more cool items which has made iOS once again a stand out mobile operating system espcially after the last 2 iterations have been a bit plain. Well done Apple. I'm sure once released the iPad pro will become an even more powerful tool within the business world and stand more of a chance of replaicng your laptop and can now compete more with the Microsoft Surface
