Best Classic Car Investments for 2018
As the new year approaches you may be looking for some wise investments. We all know that interest rates are at all-time low and unfortunately bitcoins, solid gold and Jaguar E-Types are out of most price bracket, but are there some cars that will make a wise investment in 2018 that won’t break the bank.
Mazda MX-5: Early models on Auto Trader are fetching under £1K, considered the final all mechanical sports car it wont cost a fortune in maintenance and the value can only go up!
Jaguar XK150: The E-Types younger brother is following suit, restoration projects increasing by over £10k in the last 3 years and fully restored models fetching over £100K!
Rolls Royce Silver Shadow – Over £80K new, now you can pick up a nice example on eBay for under 20K and some going well below that.
Mercedes SLK – Early year models are under £2k on Auto Trader, they are a bargain. One thing to watch out for fixing the metal folding roof is very expensive.
Classic MINI: cheap to buy and parts are cheap, often an easy restoration. An icon that can only go up in value !

Yes a lot of JDM is worth money, the GTR is an amazing investment.

I had to sell my MX5 a few months ago, very upset. Most days I wish I could have kept it.
Thats a shame, currently got a MX5 Eunos in the collection at the moment, proper good fun!
