I also find that for novice investors that getting involved in Index Funds, is a great way to go. S&P 500 is a good one, that way you have a tiny pieces of the 500 largest companies in the world. Find one that has no annual fee and you are all but guaranteed to make some money in the long-term.
The only downside is that most of these programs usually have some sort of minimum like $1000 to even talk to you. :) Good article. upvoted
