I also enjoy Dlike and I'm glad to see how it has improved since its inception. SMTs like APPICS have been noting but pointless fluff and I do think Dlike will have to find a solid use case (maybe advertising/promotion feature) to keep the Token value high. STEEM Hunt has actually figured things out and they create a real demand for tokens although I can't predict how powerful that demand would be.

Backing up tokens with STEEM will surely create some value. But what's the point? Automated market making will require STEEM to be locked up. But that's just providing liquidity. There is really going to be a mini-flood of SMTs. Tokens of popular platforms would maintain some value just because of their brand recognition. But most would be worth next to nothing.
