FINANCIAL ARMAGEDDON

Instability around the world is becoming rampant. The world economies alone are burdened with so much debt that it seems like the first domino to fall could set the rest in motion. I do not profess to be a wise investor or a brilliant money manager. I do not have a lot of money to play with but I would like to keep and grow what I have. My Father is a more frugal, investment savvy kind of guy and I have enjoyed access to some of the investment information he receives. Some of these advisors warn that we have as much or as little (depending on how you look at things) as a year and a half of good times left. During this time there will be tremendous opportunity to grow your money. After this time you might be better off to burn it in a wood burning heater to stay warm during the winter. These investors he follows have a stellar track record and my Father has done well with the recommendations they offer.

I am more of a history buff. I firmly believe in the George Santayana statement:

"Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it."

History is littered with wars that were fought over or brought about by failing economies. One need only look at what is happening all over the world to know that we are standing on the edge of something big. As I mentioned before in my "Gears of War" article, the U.S. is not involved in all these Middle East countries because we are trying to bring them freedom and democracy. We are there to secure financial interests of the elite that rule the world. The U.S. armed forces are the collection arm of the biggest gangsters in the world. What are we doing over there? Does it not strike you as being a little odd that when we go into a country, we never leave it? What makes what we are doing any better than what Nazi Germany did? We are doing the same things for the same reasons. We all know how well that worked out for Germany.

I do not believe this new cold war with Russia is going to fizzle out this time. I believe at some point with our forces opposing each other in such close quarters that someone will make a mistake. If this does not happen before the financial meltdown of the world, it most assuredly will come after. It seems inescapable at this point.

Let us assume that we avoid the war that haunts us. Let us assume that everything will be allowed to run the natural course of logic. That still brings us to an economic calamity of epic proportions. This country will become a third world nation overnight. It will be even worse here because we are not used to living like this. People will become animals. Without the amenities of civilization, people will become thoroughly and completely uncivilized. Ask yourself what would you do if you woke up one morning to find the electricity and the water were off? You pick up your phone to call the utility companies and you have no signal. The landline is dead. You get in your car to go to town and find that all the stores are being looted. There is no law enforcement present. They are taking care of their own. What would you do?

I am aware that many people and advisors laugh at these scenarios. They did the same thing when a few people tried to warn of the 2008 disaster years beforehand. I choose not to listen to the soothsayers. I choose to listen to those who warned it was coming. We appear to have little time left. If my sources are to be believed, then it is a good time to double down and make some money. Perhaps it is even going to be a time like no other in investment history. However, as good as it may be the time after will also be like no other time in our history.
