From ancient time gold is gold and no one take palce of gold. Most safe and trusted investments is gold. In all kinds of investments like property, stocks, cryptocurrency etc in above all is gold is best and safe because when you want to cashout its easy with gold.

Physical gold is not soe asy to cash out, dealers/buyers use at least 4-5 percent margin, and storage, transport can be dangerous or expensive. All investment classes have advantages and disadvantages.
The transportation part is very real on so many levels, its totally insane how much gold is needed if you wanted to use it above super-market kind of buying/selling.
