The Most Incompetent Excuse of a Monk Ever

This screenshot demotivational poster is highly Anti-Miroku. So, sit back, relax, and revel in the evisceration I am more than willing to give to this crooked, low-down, perverted, impure excuse of a monk.

At the risk of sounding extremely superficial, the only thing I really liked about Miroku back when I was quite young was his Wind Tunnel or Kazaana because it was a really cool power to have. Yes, it was cursed because Naraku also passed it down from his father to him, but it just made eliminating demons a whole lot more convenient.

Nowadays, I have accepted that Miroku is not all that pure, brave or noble as I thought he was. This was not just his habit of groping women and asking them if they wanted bear his children that ground my gears, but also just how many double standards this bastard of a person bears. Sure, he can get off nearly scot-free with just some slaps or bangs to the head by courtesy of Sango and certain other women, but the mere fact that Inuyasha does not get away that easily with Kagome giving him those unholy "Sit" commands and Miroku does not even bat an eye to this makes my blood boil even more.

While this loser is blessed with such an awesome yet accursed power, he would always use that same spiel among many other women for any of them to bear his children should he be consumed by his Wind Tunnel. This also came to effect when he was 15 years old and he met 11-year-old Koharu that he offered her the chance to bear his children one day. All I can see from Miroku is a sense of manipulation he would apply to let the women be on his side of the story and use them as nothing more than breeding mares, which Sango ended up being that to him and was conjugally tied to him. Moreover, from what I have seen in both anime series, this whole running gag of Miroku asking various women to bear his children started get old very quickly. It was quite hilarious at first, but the joke ran thinner than an over-baked crepe.

I also mentioned the double standards that occur in not only Inuyasha as a series but also the characters, and Miroku defines it all too well. Sure, it is all right for Kagome to abuse the "sit" commands on Inuyasha because she believes he deserves it for all the petty things she thought he did, but for Miroku, groping various girls and asking them to bear his children would usually make him be slapped by Sango. He even does the same perverted things to Sango nearly all the time, as he continuously gets slapped by her. In spite of all that, he ended up proposing to her much later in the series, which to me is nothing more than a farce and Sango can certainly do a whole lot better than this stupid pervert!

As a "friend" to Inuyasha, he is truly one of the worst with Kagome and Shippou coming out on top winning the gold medal of shame and Sango winning the bronze medal of shame for being such terrible friends to Inuyasha. No doubt that he ended getting the silver medal of shame, which is not a great feat on his part. He also ends up jumping on the "Inuyasha is unfaithful to Kagome with Kikyou" bandwagon, even though he knew what Inuyasha went through fifty years ago. Need I reiterate that everything Inuyasha went through with Kikyou all felt like yesterday and the guilt for not fulfilling his duties to her as a sort of dog guardian or Inugami-mochi still hurt him so much! But no. He does nothing to stop Kagome from inflicting abuse on Inuyasha and thinks that he deserves it, even though Miroku himself is no bleeping saint.

One final horrible facet I can divulge about this perverted scoundrel is that hogs all the credit for exorcising demons when in fact he is incapable and incompetent. If that is to make his name any better to the people he "saved", he is sorely mistaken, as there are much stronger combatants than Miroku ever aspired to be. His Wind Tunnel is only useful in "certain occasions", but at the end of the day, the likes of Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru would do most of the fighting.

In conclusion, there is no wonder why I never cared for Miroku even when I was an 11-year-old fifth grader. He is a terrible friend, a crooked pervert, a sleazy manipulator, and a credit-hogging, no-good, low-down, four-flushing carcass of a know-it-all. For all I care, he loses access to Nirvana and might as well find himself being castrated if he does not cease his infidelity.

I hope you all enjoyed my evisceration on Miroku and I will see you in the next submission. Take care and stay safe, everybody.

Miroku from Inuyasha belongs to Rumiko Takahashi and Sunrise.
