My First Blog

This is my first Blog. I have never blogged before but I do see the usefulness in blogging. Currently I am thinking of creating a blog that is centered on video games, future tech, IT content, and maybe cryptocurrencies.
About me:
I am a Mechanical Engineer. I have earned a Masters of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering at Colorado State University. I have learned several useful skills on my own outside of school.
Currently I like to code for fun. I am using the Unity Game Engine in order to create a phone game app. I have only started developing since August 2017. Through tutorials and trial and error I have been able to make some real progress on this app. What I would like to do on this blog is possibly present some of my findings in Unity and coding that may assist others that are interested in developing their own game.
I am also interested in video games in general. At the time of writing this post (1/10/2018), I am currently excited for Monster Hunter by Capcom. My favorite game of all time is Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time but I have interest in Call of Duty, Fortnite, Rocket League, Overwatch, The Witcher, World of Warcraft, and many others. I hope that I can spark discussions, fan fiction, or even just dreams about video games.
By IT content I am really talking about the problem solving and troubleshooting that I have to go through from time to time. In some instances I have found that I can do some research myself to get an answer to a problem that I am having with technology. In more than one occasion I have taken my computer in to have a “specialist” fix it and more often than not, the specialist will tell me the only fix is to wipe the computer and start from scratch. At that point I take the computer back do some research online and fix it myself. I have accidentally messed up a motherboard before but I do have some knowledge on random things just because I try to fix what I have.
Future Tech is part of the reason that I became an Engineer. I feel like engineers are the inventors in this day and age. I geeked out and did my own research when Microsoft’s Hololens was in development. Currently I am interested in the Lilium Private Jet and its release.
Cryptocurrencies are very new to me. Currently I have tried mining a few different coins because I am skeptical about investing real money in it. I fell into the Ponzi schemes at one point but now I have a little more of a clear direction. I may be posting my methods and what worked for me as well as some things that I have found for other people interested in Cryptocurrencies.
I do not claim to be an expert at anything I do (I do not have a doctorate in Mechanical Engineering), but I do think that I have some useful information and hope that others would appreciate the content that I post. If you like the content that I post please refer me to friends and family that would also be interested. Also on this post if you are specifically interested in one of the topics I discussed please feel free to leave a comment so I can write a post about that topic.
