Hi! New to Steem

Hi-

I thought I'd introduce myself to the group. I'm a direct response copywriter working mostly in the financial area. I've written for Newsmax and Street Authority as well as for life insurance, tax, and other general financial information. I love to learn and share about investing-- both in stocks as well as alternative finance-- metals, real estate, businesses, private lending, and now cryptocurrency. I also write web copy for start up tech companies in the pre-revenue stage.

I've been a writer for about 25 years and started with writing for and about children before I moved to persuasive, direct response writing. When I lived in Okinawa, Japan, I was a staff writer for Okinawa Today.

I've traveled a bit and spent 18 months in Kenya, Africa serving a mission for my church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It was an amazing time and a fascinating place. We were able to go on safari several times-- and even just driving we passed zebras, baboons, and occasionally giraffes! Not to mention the ubiquitous donkeys and goats. The people were hard working and each had a story to tell.
