RE: Hi Everyone! My name is Liz and I am here to change your life!
Welcome to Steemit, Liz.
Judging from your intro post, it looks like you have plenty to bring to Steemit, and consequently, that you will be quite successful on this platform. (But be forewarned... it takes time, diligence, and dedication.)
For one thing, you are clearly passionate about what you do. Over my first 2+ months on Steemit, I've read much advice about how to "succeed" on this platform, and most begin by telling us newbies to be passionate about what we post. That may sound obvious, but it's nevertheless worth clarifying.
As for change in my life, I'm well into middle age, I know what I like, I am healthy, and I am relatively content with my station in life, so I don't expect that you will bring a whole lot of change into my life. But if you can teach me anything that will improve my life or that I can benefit from, I'll be truly grateful ... alive. (Just couldn't resist adding that.)
And if you can do that for the many Steemians who become your followers, then more power to you!
Below are a few basic points of advice re posting on Steemit.
- Longer posts are more lucrative than short posts. If you make a post of 20–30 paragraphs, it's more likely to earn rewards.
- Include some photos, images or graphs, to complement the text.
- Make sure the text and photos are formatted properly, so that your post looks attractive and appealing.
Hope this helps for now. Good luck, and Full Steem Ahead!
Wow thank you so much for all the advice! As a newbie I know it will take time but I am extremely passionate about what I do and I think Steemit is the perfect platform to share those things. Based on my observations Steemit users have a deeper appreciation for content over other platforms that might just showcase images.
Knowing who you are and being happy with yourself is the most important thing and although I might not be able to influence change in your life personally, I still hope for the best! You never know, I may surprise you!
Thanks again for your warm welcome!
Yes, you will definitely find much more quality content on Steemit than on other social networks.
Of course, there's still quite a number of trivial posts lacking in any worthwhile content, but among that stream, you will find plenty of good and even great posts.
And during your search for good posts, you can simultaneously attract followers. The best way to attract them is to glance through the various feeds (People you follow (Under the Steemit Beta icon), Trending, New, Hot, Promoted), and find posts that interest you.
When you find such posts, UPVOTE those you like, COMMENT on them, and then maybe REPLY to any replies that you get. Soon, you will see the number of your followers increase.
Onwards...
