My introduction
I am a mechanic by trade and have had the great fortune of having family that share my love of racing. We race dirt track in the midwest . My father in law drives a USRA A mod and my brother in law drives a USRA B mod . He was the track champion at grain valley speed way in the 2017 season which was also his first year in a B mod. I hope to use steemit to cronical what it takes to race competitively along with articles related to the sport. Any proceeds earned will be used for the race car. Oh you are in for a treat then. My father in law has been a multiple time track champion at multiple tracks and has been racing for 31 years this season . My brother in law has also won track championships in the lightning sprints ( 1000cc) motorcycle engines on tiny winged frames. I will make another post soon. Here is a picture i have from around 1987ish my uncle in law had over 100 carrer wins back then and is still racing today.
Here is one of the lightning sprints. They run on methonal in a 1000cc crotch rocket engine and weight around 900 pounds with the driver in tbe car. They are bad fast.
