My introduction to steemit.
Hi! Thank you for checking me out. I do hope you like what you find.
Like many others I am frustrated with current social media platforms...with the dishonesty, dissemination of users' data and outright criminality by the platform owners.
All I'm truly looking for is an online place to hang-out when I feel like it without having to constantly stay on guard. A spot where I might catch a bit of honest news and follow current events without being steered by the crooks and advertisers.
I'm looking forward to seeing many of my favorite activists' work here, and perhaps I might even contribute myself in some small way.
I want steemit to become a gathering place for real people.
