North Korea to Send Olympic Athletes to South Korea, in Breakthrough

It is so amazing to see two brothers who have had long time hatred coming together once again. since 1950s after Korean war which divided the once one nation into two, the two Nations have been on a loggerhead, fighting cold wars and scaring each other, But this has brought some hope that maybe this will bring back peace in the Korean peninsula.

North Korea agreed on Tuesday to send athletes to February’s Winter Olympics in South Korea, a symbolic breakthrough after months of escalating tensions over the North’s rapidly advancing nuclear and missile programs.

In talks held at the border village of Panmunjom, North Korean negotiators quickly accepted South Korea’s request to send a large delegation to the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea, next month, according to South Korean news reports.
