Take a small notebook or similar for your krypton notes to write down your private keys and / or store them well encrypted somewhere.
I have two USB sticks for offline storage and a notebook.

It should all be on the same level
and maybe store the second USB stick in the basement, safe or car.

Both are called * hardware wallet * where you manually confirm actions / transactions.
There are also paper, online and desktop wallets.
Always keep larger amounts on hardware wallets!

------------- HARD FACTS ------------

⁉️Different Token and Coin!
💡Coins: have their own blockchain.
[Bitcoin (Coin is in the name😉), Ethereum, NEO, DASH, Monero, WAVES ...]

💡Token: run over an existing block-chain
[Most tokens are ERC20 tokens and run over the Ethereum Blockchain]

⁉️FORK:
A fork is a split off of an existing blockchain
A snapshot will be taken and the coin will be issued 1: 1 to the holders.

Forks from Bitcoin are for example:
Litecoin, BitcoinCash, BitcoinGold ...

💡 So if you bought a Bitcoin two years ago and left it on a wallet, there would be an LTC, a BCH, a BTG and a few more on it. (damn !, you would have known that)

⁉️MAIN-NET LAUNCH:
Most cryptos start as "tokens" (ERC20) and stay that way. But a few start their own block-chain (thus they are more independent and efficient)
So happened on June 01, 2018 with the token EOS of the [EOS-TOKEN (ERC20)] to the [EOS-Coin] succesfull, so it was transferred to its own block-chain.
