Hello steemit!
My beautiful wife and I are in the process of uprooting our lives from the daily grind of corporate work and are heading to the awesome countryside in the Ozarks of Arkansas to homestead. I come from an IT background - currently wrapping up a job at a Energy Utility in the Midwest.
This will be very trying at times - long days - little income - yet the rewards will be grand. I will attempt to write about our journey here on steemit as we progress.
I am not a writer (this will be painfully obvious).

Welcome, Zepto, that photo of the caterpillar is incredible! It sounds like you're living my dream, but unfortunately not the dream of anyone else in my technobssessed home, lol. It's great to have you here, don't worry if writing isn't your strong suit, photos of your adventures with captions will be wonderful I'm sure. :) Remember that while you may not be much of a writer (I see no actual evidence of that BTW), there are plenty of people here who aren't much for reading either.
A couple of hints from a not-quite-as newbie:
Remember to use as many tags (up to 5) as apply, since your stuff will be posted under a separate topic for each tag. For example you could edit this to add 'photography' and 'music' as tags since both of these things interest you, and people seeking out photography or music will see it displayed there. Also, try to include the tag minnowsunite (all one word) in order to get your stuff in front of other not-quite-as newbies and some of the more influential folks here who like to give a leg up to a newbie now and again.
