My Purpose Here

Photographers are one of the many talented creators that come to Steemit, and I believe their efforts deserve recognition and reward, much more than they often get. Too often, I see photographers with talent give up posting on Steemit, frustrated that they aren't earning anything or getting anywhere.

This is a sad thing. Other social media platforms are not great places for photographers. Facebook for example gains all rights to your photos that you post there, free to use your talent for their own ads if they wish. Even worse, shareholders get paid for your talent, not you.

Steemit changes all of this, allowing you to post original content without any censorship. This content is stored in the blockchain forever, giving the creator full control and ownership over their content, as well as proof that the content is their own if someone else tries to steal or plagiarize. Best of all, the creator is paid for their work... at least, that is the hope of many young budding photographers who find Steemit and start posting with high hopes.

@yourluckyphotos has been created to serve one purpose: to help promote and reward photographers on Steemit as a free, non-profit service. This is not some scheme, but an honest to goodness effort to give any and all profits back to the community of Steemit photographers. This service is intended to run indefinitely... at least for as long as Steemit exists.

How do I intend to help the photographers of Steemit?

• Once per day, @yourluckyphotos will randomly upvote, resteem and comment on up to 10 new posts that contain great original photography. Posts tagged with "yourluckyphotos" (without the quotation marks) will get preferential treatment.

• I am not obligated to upvote 10 posts per day, and I may choose to upvote posts without the tag if there are not enough entries for that day, especially during the infancy of this service as I get started.
• The SBD payout for my comments being upvoted will be converted (using blocktrades) into Steem Power for @yourluckyphotos, and will be verifiable in my public Steemit wallet.
• Upvoting my comments (within 7 days of being created) will help improve my Steem Power, which in turn will improve the upvote reward for future lucky Steemian photographers.

• Each day I am active, I will create a new blog post containing the photography of the lucky Steemians that I upvoted, including their Steemit handle and links to their posts. I encourage you to upvote their original posts to help them grow.

• The SBD payout for this daily post will be converted (using blocktrades) into Steem Power for @yourluckyphotos, and will be verifiable in my public Steemit wallet.

• Once per month (tentatively the 1st day of each month until further notice), I will create a new blog post that features every post that I have upvoted during the previous month. The SBD payout for this monthly blog post will go directly to the 3 winners chosen in a randomnumbergenerator.com lottery, divided equally.

• After 7 days I will announce the winners and showcase their earnings and their photography. The earnings from this announcement post will be put back into Steem Power for @yourluckyphotos, and will be verifiable in my public Steemit wallet

• deliberately offensive or hurtful comments of any kind will result in you being ignored, and disqualified from the monthly lottery.
• Be positive and supportive toward other content creators.
• downvoting @yourluckyphotos for providing this service will be taken as a hostile act towards this non-profit service. I intend to grow this service indefinitely, to help promote and encourage budding photographers on Steemit, no matter where they are from, what language they speak, or whether you personally like them or not.
• I encourage you not to donate steem power, Steem or SBD to me. No favors will be given for such acts. The only one to benefit from any kind of donation will be the photographers that I seek to help. I will not refund a donation; any donations will always be turned into Steem Power.
