Just today I am reading a book by Anthony Robins that talks about changing your state of mind to create the mood/results you want in life.
Among the things he talks about is this concept that your actions are affected by your state of mind. and your state of mind is composed of two things: your inner projections (What you see in your mind, what you tell yourself) and your physiology(the way you breath, your posture, generally the nerve system.).
anyways. It gets very interesting, and I believe a persons world can change from comprehending that book, I recommend reading it if you have the time.

Oh I love the mind/body connection, and have healed my body by healing my mind and spirit. Have you heard of Bruce Lipton? Caroline Mysss?
I just picked up Spontaneous Evolution as a gift for my man last night. It is by Bruce Lipton and Steve Bhaerman.
I will definitely have to check out that book, thanks for the recommendation.

Anthony's book is called "Unlimited Power" (kinda annoying headline but ok. the inside is quality :)
btw can I ask what were you healed from? It's ok to not say though :P
