RE: Introducing Myself: Tales of an Expat Code Slinging Crypto-Enthusiast (Part 2)

Oh, cool. You have a crypto blog, that is actually geared towards humans! I mean, I have a background in software engineering, with about 10 years in the work force, but so far most stuff I've read either requires a to of experience in trading, crypto arm of compsci, or the like. That is not to mention the horrible UI/UX, with Steemit being on the better side of all that I've seen, but still far from ideal.

Anyhow, as I've said, following you!

I appreciate the interest and am glad you're enjoying my posts so far! I do try to write in a way that doesn't require a Ph.D to understand. UI/UX for crypto related software has been slowly getting better, but it does have quite a ways to go before being good enough for the mainstream, particularly in regards to error detection & recovery. I think Ethereum is the future, for instance, but the main Ethereum wallet Mist is still quite hard for non-technical people to get used to. Steemit is a step in the right direction in that it mostly hides the crypto stuff under the hood and presents itself as an ordinary web page that most people can relate to. Which is absolutely the way to go; Ethereum apps are going to have to do the same to become popular.
