Snake with 7 heads - Orinoco River. Legend or truth?

Hello Steemians, how are you doing?

Well today I bring you a story that caught my attention.
"The legend of the seven-headed monster"
It's a story that was born in the city where I'm doing my university studies and that I did not know.

It all started on Friday afternoon when I decided to go for some cookies and coffee to relax a bit of everything that was the week and go to a little cafe located in a place called "Paseo Orinoco" in my city, when sitting waiting for me. order looked out the window and my eyes stopped on the great Orinoco River that was accompanied by a beautiful sunset.

At that time I was curious about a very large stone located in the middle of this great river. That made it look like a small island.

In that the owner of the place, a man something old, which I noticed by his silver hair and some wrinkles, but with a big smile he said kindly.

Have you heard about that stone?
I answered No, but I would like to know.
Then he began to speak, and it was so much my amazement that I wanted to search more about this and share it with you.

In the state of Bolívar, Venezuela, there is the famous "Piedra del Medio", a rock formation located in the middle of the Orinoco River, between the towns of Ciudad Bolívar and Soledad.

Humboldt called it "the orinocometer", because the inhabitants of the city used it to keep track of the ups and downs of water. Legend has it that beneath the middle stone there are galleries that scatter throughout the city and that a snake with seven heads lives in them.

The last sighting of the monster was in 1988, the year in which a crowd of bolivarenses, with lamps and cameras, managed to photograph at night several shadows of the supposed heads of the snake. In the middle of the 20th century, the Universidad de Oriente sent a Oceanographic research vessel to conduct research on the Orinoco River, and the diver who dived to explore the river, around the middle stone, asked in the middle of a nervous attack to climb quickly because he had seen a monster.

What discovered the expedition, with ultrasound devices, is that just in front of the stone is a huge pit 160 meters deep, funnel-shaped. It is curious that at that point several boats have been lost, and that many others have reported strong blows to the structure of the ship.

This story is very similar to that told in Greek mythology. The history of the Hydra relates the presence of an animal, a serpent with seven heads, that inhabits and protects the underwater entrances to the underworld

Those waters are uneasy, many bodies that fall there, never appear, and say that they get lost near the stone. There is an even more recent story, which says that a person was taking in front of the orinoco, it should be noted that in front of him (in the distance) was the famous middle stone and he says that he saw a kind of red, almost bright eyes that looked at him and they attracted him to the river, others say that one dawn they saw what you seemed to be a part of the 7-headed serpent.

But others say that the real story is because there are 7 tunnels that flow into the Orinoco River, and the main one goes from the historical quadrilateral with the roots of the cathedral to the river, this was used during the invasions of the Dutch pirates who came to attack the city .
Whatever the story, just see the garndesa of this river gives much to understand that if there could be such a beast under the so-called urine-neuter so called Baron Humbolt.
