The word WITNESS MEANS witness translated in Spanish. the witnesses are people who want this platform to be maintained in the future and its purpose is to review all the post we make, they are responsible for executing some action that can contribute to the proper functioning of the interface.
The witnesses work practically 365 days a year, they contain a greater power of vote, which they lose by integrating more users in Steemit, but they also need our votes because they give them STEEM POWER.
