Introduction to Moto travel Series by @velimir (Part #1)

in #introduceyourself7 years ago (edited)

Imagine passing by beautiful scenery whilst feeling the wind in your face and listening to deep reverberating sound of your V-twin engine roaring, as it swallows miles and miles of nature-surrounded roads.

Seasoned riders will tell you that motorbike is what horse used to be. Imagined or not, the shinny two-wheeled creature has a personality, and the more rider takes care of her, she will take more care of him. It’s as if there exists a symbiotic bond between a man and a machine.

Isn't it dangerous to ride a big bike? Yes it is. No doubt about it. Even so, the pleasure of riding bestowed upon the rider outcasts the fear, far and wide. And once this pleasure is truly enjoyed, it will sink inside your being, and never let you go.

Imagine a late afternoon with sun shining low through the clouds, as you ride toward the west, hitting the curves, leaning perfect angles, adding just so much throttle as needed, knowing you can always stop and take a break to take a photo, breath in fresh air brimming with fragrances, or you can just spend some time sitting by the road, engaged in thoughts of life, its beauty, and its transience.

Then you ride on and on and when you reach your destination, and the trip ends, the sole thing you really want is to hit the road again, and again, and again… Because it is addictive. Embracing. Fulfilling. Awesome. That's my deep passion, somewhat, but not so much apart from writing and filming - the beautiful and fulfilling experience of motorbike riding.

We might meet on a distant road and share the joy of living the ride together. One never knows what the future holds in stake. Until then, always ride carefully and never all the way up to your limits.

In this blog series I’ll write about the beauty of bike travel, and its pros, cons, perks, tips, hints and safety. Remember, You are really the one who makes this happen.

Nice post! Where were these pics taken?

Hey, thank you for stopping by and asking. The landscape was taken on Zagreb-Rijeka highway. The drivers POV was taken on a parking lot at the begining of Sljeme road, and me chilling out on the bike was at the abandoned train yard close to Zagreb airport. :)
