Hey! My name is Torbjørn

Hello Everyone

I'm Torbjørn and I live in Norway. I guess I'm a bit younger than most in here, but I'm 17 years old.

Who am I?

I was born in Tromsø which is a large city (compared to other Norwegian cities) located far north in Norway. I lived there for like 7 years but it's a big part of my life. I grew up hiking, fishing, skiing and much more and being out in the nature is still very important for me.

But we didn't stay in Tromsø for too long, we moved south and we ended up in a small town called Namsos in the middle of Norway. At first I missed Tromsø a lot,but it didn't take long for me to get new friends and realizing how beautiful it was there.

Photographing

The scenery in Namsos made it fun to take pictures and I quickly became interested in photographing. I must say that I'm no expert, but I enjoy taking pictures with my Iphone and if you're wondering what I'm mostly gonna publish on steemit, it's of course pictures. And if you're on my blog, just know that the photos you're looking at is taken by me. I feel like there's an overwhelming amount of pictures, but here are some more to give you a preview of what I'm going to publish here.

What I do in my spare time

I'm still in high school and In Norway we can choose what type of classes we want to have so I chose physics, biology, chemistry, math and so on. So I'm spending a lot of time studying, because getting a good education is important for me. I don't know what i want to study, but i have a lot of interests. I LOVE geology and meteorology, but I also like catching up with new technology, history and of course nature. But yeah I'm really not that big of a nerd, I love spending time with friends as well and just watch TV in my bed!

I'm Gay

I know that there isn't a big gay community here on steemit, but I'll share my story anyways for those who are interested. So yeah I'm gay and it shouldn't really matter if I am or not, but its a big part of me and my life because of what I've had to go through.

I mean living in Norway and in 2018 makes it a lot easier to be gay, but it's still hard to be different. I've known that I'm gay for like 5 years now, but I came out when i was 15 and that's pretty early, too early actually. I was not ready, because I was the first one to come out in my town and it was new to everyone. It got spread around and in a day everyone knew it even before I was 100% sure about who I was. I got thrown into it and I just had to deal with it, it was hard being looked at with judging eyes at school, but in a way it made me stronger.

I'm 100% comfortable with myself at this point and so are everybody else. Just wanted to share this because it's a big part of me, but I hope that you're still gonna judge my post by their quality and not because of me.

I'm happy to finally join this community
