RE: We are Celebrating one YEAR on Steem & A Bright outlook for the community in 2019!

in #introduceyourself6 years ago (edited)

We will definitely return to Gent @rudyardcatling. The Gentse Feesten was on fire, hope we can do that again! Thanks for the tip on flixxo, going to do our due diligence now :)

As for FB and YT, unfortunately they are still more lucrative for us at this time. Facebook we reach 1million+ per month and on YouTube our channel produces a more stable income than we can get here. The 80% crash in the value of STEEM dramatically reduced our rewards throughout the year. That said, we still see it as an investment in a community with a future. Steemit still has a long way to go before we see mass adoption and diversification, but we're enjoying the ride and proud to be part of the community.

wow ... you happen to be a part-time diplomat or politician on the side ? :D

yea, i keep telling people if you wanna spend money on coming to Belgium then Gentse Feesten is probably where you should beek your week-hotel for. There's others ofcourse but nothing really compares to that.
@thetroublenotes, its probably over a month by now as i sit here in the year of less talk more coding but i do still try to catch up when i wake with my head screwed on right. Steemit is basically a niche community and if you were to compare age it would be a toddler lol, that's why its probably important to have a very diverse set of actual content creators, from writing to visual to audiovisual all across the board. I'm not really the advocate here and certainly not mister marketing but as the terminology goes that makes you guys a great asset to this place (o dear i sound like the CIA now ahhah).
From all i can see despite the onslaught of the old gold king against the armies of Crypton steemit inc. is not throwing in the towel, if anything they cranked it up a notch after the inevitable layoffs.
When it comes to resilience i dont think any global item like the population of planet Crypton exists , and i think that's got to do more with the urge for independence than it has to do with a-lambo-a-year.
Plenty of people here probably wouldnt know what to do with a billion dollar except give it up or do crazy stuff , like.
it's not about the money, its about living life on your own terms, thats why profit and liquidity are important as we are all stuck in their world after all ... i can't remember any divine entity asking me before i got born like "do you want to be a human on planet earth" because if i would have known, id probably have settled for a tumbleweed on proxima centauri ;-)

i assume you know all about Patreon ofcourse since you seem to be in it. Flixxo is small but they do seem to be updating and on it, they seem to be better on the marketing side as they got the big ad money but i fear a little less on the tek-side (as this place is seriously riddled with tek-heads under the hood lol)
Brave attention token i think is something to look to, like keep an eye on it and someone recently mentioned Choon to me , BUT if you're a very busy bee, its probably somewhat like minds.com because the "notes" cryptocurrency has no dollar value yet so pouring time in that you need elsewhere is ... its mixed since if no one adopts it it will ofcourse never get past ICO but you might want to keep it on your to-check list for that lazy sundaymorning to see how they're doing , if i find more i'll keep you updated :D
