Hi. I'm Nick. I'm an Internet Veteran. Since 1999, I've been slapping away at a computer, pre-occupying myself in the time that I have grown up. In that time, I have gone from living in a nice place, to a bad place, to a worse place, and then to a place that was better than the first place. I was someone who heard about bitcoins and cryptocurrencies in 2010, when I was living in the worst place and didn't have the money to divert to ANYTHING, and tried telling anyone that I could who was of age, WHEN I WAS 14, to buy those things because they'll be worth something someday. Turns out, a 1,000$ investment into bitcoins when they were first produced would have yielded a pool of wealth that would last someone a lifetime. Too bad for me. BUT! If I can make outstanding calls then, I can definitely make them now. I have a feeling about steemit. Being a computer veteran, I've always noticed things about the flaws of the internet. Toxic individuals can thrive on the internet. Anonymity, while praised by the common PC user, can facilitate toxicity. Hacking is an issue. Hacked social media accounts are dangerous. Just last week, John Mcafees' Twitter was hacked? Anyone who invested in Siacoins and got dumped on is angry right now. Anyways, I just get this feeling that steemit is going to tie up all those loose corners that Twitter and Instagram can't tie off, and plug all the holes that Facebook cannot. How many of us get fake friend requests from fake porn girls? Or how many of us get spammed with penny stock guru emails from people that don't exist? steemit could put a stop to all that. Because when people don't have a choice but to show their true face, and when their reputation is on the line, posting what helps people is what matters. I trade stocks. Pennies, the dangerous ones. If steemit could help me build a cryptocurrency position and ultimately make me decide against investing dollars into scams in order to start investing bitcoins into dreams, I would be excited to be a part of that.
