Introduce yourself - Tel.empathy

Hey guys!

My name is Meropi and I'm 23 years old. Some people call me "emma" because of a (really) old nickname someone once gave to me.

I'm from Ioannina, Greece but I'm currently studying Digital Media and Communications in Kastoria, a really small town located in northern Greece in the region of West Macedonia.
I have lived my whole life in Greece except from a small period of time when I worked in Edinburgh UK.

Watching films/series/documentaries, photography, writing, unsolved mysteries and reading are some of my main hobbies. I also enjoy going on adventures and exploring Greece with friends.

I recently found about steemit through my brother (@knowhow92) and I'm really into it. In my opinion this site and community are groundbreaking. I've spent a lot of my teen and adult life on the internet and nothing ever really amazes me anymore but when I found out about all the wonderful things people have been doing on Steemit I HAD to join!

Some things you can expect to see on my blog are some photos and reviews of places, maybe some movie and series reviews and quite possibly some crime/ mystery investigations (I always found those fascinating and it's a good way to start a conversation with all of you)!

You can already find two of my blog posts, one is a review of Kastoria and one is a post with 2 photos from Konitsa - some really beautiful places in Greece.

You can also find me on Tumblr where I mostly reblog things that catch my eye's attention (WARNING:NSFW) at https://en-dynamei.tumblr.com/

I hope to get to know some of you. Keep posting and keep doing the amazing work you're already doing through Steemit!

Welcome to the Steemit Community!

Thank you @xels! Happy to be a part of this community :)

Hello tel.empathy! Welcome to Steemit! Hope you'll like the community here. As a start, here are 5 tips that we believe will be helpful to you:

  1. Keep your passwords safe: Unlike conventional sites, Steemit has 4 types of passwords. Each offers varying degrees of access to your account, so know where and when to use each of them. Also, make sure to keep them all safe and secure.
  2. Get Steem rewards: When writing a post, you'll have the option to choose how to receive your reward: "Default 50%/50%" or "Power Up 100%". As of this moment, choosing Default 50%/50% is the better option. But this can change over time. Check our post to know more.
  3. Upvote wisely: When upvoting, wait at least 30 minutes after the post is published to maximize your curation reward. Also, make sure not to upvote too much too fast so as not to drain your voting power.
  4. Know your Steem, Steem Dollars and Steem Power: Steem and Steem Dollars are the 2 main currencies here. Convert and power up more Steem into Steem Power so you can have higher values on your upvotes.
  5. Have Fun and Enjoy!

Each day holds a surprise. But only if we expect it can we see, hear, or feel it when it comes to us. Let's not be afraid to receive each day's surprise, whether it comes to us as sorrow or as joy It will open a new place in our hearts, a place where we can welcome new friends and celebrate more fully our shared humanity.
