what is TED :

TED help share ideas in communities around the world in the form of short and powerful talks . in 1984 TED began as a conference where Technology, Entertainment and today covers almost all topics from science to business to global issues in more than 100 languages.

The first TED

in 1984 Richard Saul Wurman observation the convergence among three topic: technology+ entertainment + design.
The first TED included a demo of the compact disc and the e-book and cutting-edge 3D graphics from Lucasfilm

But Wurman lost money,
in 1990 Wurman and Marks tried again , in this time the world was ready for the TED Conference in Monterey and California, attracting a increasing and effective public from many different topic and united by their open mindedness and curiosity

At the same time the roster of presenters broadened to include scientists, philosophers, musicians, business, philanthropists and many others.
in 2000 the media entrepreneur Chris Anderson met with Wurman to discuss the TED's future.
in 2001 a deal was struck, and , Anderson’s nonprofit Sapling Foundation acquired TED, and Anderson became its Curator.
