Bullshit is the Chalk, Life is the Black Board

Im going to let loose on this article explaining Simplicity is key to life. What lead me here is not due to misery or the mistakes in my life but rather returning back to self and doing what I want to do while adjusting to my environment. Simplicity is too broad of a subject to just talk about, however I want to focus on Simplicity regarding "Self". The reason why this is the topic for this article is that my friend from China came down for a visit here in South East Asia. We've been friends since "1997". We split ways but kept in touch after 2008. However the one thing that I noticed is his noticeable and underlying tone of his voice regarding his hatred of the classes and wage gap and disparity.

So how does the above picture relate to what I'm about to say, simply this:

the picture defines "Brule", which in the authors terms it has a Bullshit rule we adopt to simplify our understanding of the world.

Times are hard and we all understand this at some perspective. I believe the entire world and global economy is rigged so the top 10% of society with all the money can make more money. My friend believes the global system is aware of what it is doing, and doesn't allow the man at the bottom to rise up because the guys at the top are keeping the good stuff or most of the wealth. This is 1/1000's of our perspective on how we view the world, to talk about everything would overwhelm you the reader.

Now the difference between me and my friend is that regardless of how shitty the world is, there is still a way to prosper, but guys like us at the bottom have to do it in a micro style way. This micro style way is to either save, invest, and build or create something that others want and sell it to make a profit. In my case it is my programming and Baking skills. Pretty simple right? Its within my talent pool of things i can sell. I can make baked goods and sell them. I can make simple programs and sell them.
So in a way "self" has been developed to survive whatever financial crisis comes my way. I'm not really in need of a job at this rate if i can make just these two skills work for me.

Now my friend is what we call "Jack of All Trades, master of None". He has dabbled with a few things, has great insight in financial markets, is a teacher, and works great with people. His real problem is that he thinks too much about everyones's dilemma with the wage gap and disparity he forgets that people have a choice in how they lead their lives. He understands that the problem can easily be answered with a simple solution. However the people around him at his work thinks otherwise. The point is that maybe he doesn't play well with others, but a part of me says, he doesn't think about "self" enough to just focus on himself. He's too occupied with everything else happening around him that, his environment should be the one that should be changed first before himself. So sum up the difference between him and me is that my friend complains about the world he lives in and doesn't make time to figure out who he is and what he can contribute to it with a true skill or talent.

This now brings me to this point which will wrap in everything:

When we grew up, wasn't life extremely fun? We were learning new stuff growing up. Learning this and that and a few other things. It was exciting, all of a sudden we hit that point in our life where we are no longer challenged. We then become content with the everyday normal. Then we choose a life of get a good job or in today's case, get a job, work at it even if you hate it, and just keep using that "grit" to survive each and everyday. Kinda explains the picture above when our lives plateau.
Life at that rate becomes smooth sailing for some, while others not so much. However I can honestly say, those whose lives have platuead don't play well with drama or anything that negatively spikes their life. I will say that with experience.

So what is the answer? How do we do simple and yet enjoy life? How do we return to self? What do we do to get there? My answer to all these questions is understanding this:

3.jpg

If we can first admit to ourselves 3 things:

  1. this world is unfair
  2. Failures help us learn and prepare for more harsher failures
  3. When we overcome a failure, the only place left is up

The picture we see is basically the answer. If you have read Robert Kiyosaki's Rich Dad Poor Dad series, you'll know that in one of his books, he mentions that the best teacher in any situation is failure. I took that to heart myself when i read his series. Today its all about opening up my mind and looking at a problem as a whole and finding out how to solve it. The only problem is the 3 rules you see above this paragraph. However by understanding these 3 rules, you'll know this non-living enemy still bleeds a solution. hahahahaha.

This world is unfair, why, because people make it unfair. So return to self and beat the system from a different angle instead of taking it head on.

Failures are our friend, this is a knowledge base that is easily accessed in the memory of individuals because there is an emotional factor that we can't forget from a failure. So use it and learn from it.

After trying your best to solve the issue, or if you actually solved the issue, the only place left is up because you conquered the enemy of "unknowing". You now "know", you can then take that knowledge and build upon other things and help solve those problems.

Problems will remain in this reality for all of eternity. Some either let the problem sit and grow. Some will actually solve it. However that is life. Just one giant never ending roller coaster. Its just a series of dips and rises.
