If you haven't already heard you should check out #TeamAustralia as it's a good way to meet other Aussies who will leave good comments, follow you and upvote but also not get too bogged down with an overwhelming number of people that you try to follow but never get time to read them all. My biggest advice would be to forget about the monetary rewards and just enjoy posting and reading or else you might find, as with 95% of people, they leave very quickly when they don't get large rewards.

Good to see you’re learning new stuff. In fact right now I'm learning to use dictation text because I type and draw A LOT and find it hard on the wrists after time but still love to leave decent comments on quality posts. I still don't fully understand blockchain and even Steemit is a learning experience pretty much every time I log on, but there are some super helpful people that are here to help.

I almost worked in aged care myself but chose to work with young troubled kids instead but as I get older I will probably move across to aged care because of how much I like to help people.
