If i am not wrong, everyone contributes to steemit by contributing valuable content, curating and upvoting good content using their time and effort which is "sweat equity". FYI, @laonie is also contributing equity to steemit, which is your so called, cash from his own wallet and investing in steemit. And he totally does not have to. He also contributes a lot in getting the chinese community to come in and invest in steemit. May i know if your comment aka sweat equity helpful to steemit, as compared to his effort?
