Introduceyourself - REYMARK (Philippines)

Hi steemit. I am Reymark, 24 and have been in a constant battle with myself and my life.

That was short and deep. To begin with, I am born and raised in Aklan, specifically in the town of Malinao, where everything is green and rural. I am living the simplest life, we do eat three times a day as a family and get snacks in between.

My father, works as a driver and my mother is an elementary public school teacher. I have three sisters after me, a teacher and two that are still in school. We live in a rented house for 12 years now, since we left our ancestry because of a family feud. It's now an abandoned building. Not even a house.

I am a teacher in a private institution. I got my teaching license, July of 2017. (This is going backwards) I finished college in 2016, in a Catholic school. I studied in two state universities prior to that. Started in 2009, finished after 7 years, 6 academic years. Spent a year trying to actually chase my dream of becoming a star, but my star did not shine.

I was a contact center agent, english camp teacher and a lot more prior to becoming a full-fledged teacher in the Philippines. I applied three jobs. One for sales, one for aviation and one for teaching. I chose the latter so I can actually use what I have learned, but my heart tells me something.

I applied for the public school, just recently prior to posting this. 4 days ago to be exact. It was a three-day application for three levels.

IT WAS DIFFICULT. ALL THE MORE DID THE PEOPLE BEHIND IT MADE IT DIFFICULT. I CAN'T IMAGINE GETTING THROUGH SUCH A HARD FOUGHT BATTLE FOR NOTHING.

LIFE IS UNFAIR. UNFORTUNATELY.

I thought to myself, what kind of teachers do the Philippine public school need?

Whatever will be, will be.
Que sera, sera.

If I was to introduce myself to you guys in 2012, it would have been a different story, but it's 2018 now and so much has changed.

I am turning 25. I will be jobless in a few weeks. I will focus more on my vlogging channel perhaps? or maybe apply for a teaching job online. There's just a lot. We'll talk soon.
