Introduce Yourself - Richard
Hello everyone, I have been looking around as a new member on steemit and came across the suggestion to introduce yourself as a post. So this is me in a nutshell.
My name is Richard. I suffer from severe chronic depression and general anxiety that has thus far been treatment resistant. We have tried all medications and medication combinations available but have either been unresponsive or the side effects were just too harsh to continue the medication.
I have also gone through a 2 month program at a well known treatment center as well as 10 session of ECT (shock therapy).
It started when I was 12 years old and I am now 35. I enjoy writing about mental health/illness, self improvement and other health related topics.
I stumbled upon steemit, and being unable to work and the potential to make some money from my writing I decided to take the dive and give it a go. Even if I don't have success at least I can say that I tried and gave it my best.
I hope to meet some interesting and new people on this network and have some good engaging conversations along with writing posts.

Hi Paula. Thank you so much for the udemy link. I watched the videos. Soo much to learn, I will need to go through it again with pen and paper to take some notes and absorb more of the info. Lots of great resources given to help out. So thanks again for the link, the videos were very well done, I'm still a little confused but I'm sure watching the course a few more times will clear that up
