I wake up like this.

I wake up like this!

I am Rahul. You can call me Kondi, if that's easier.

I am a designer, an activist and an artist — trying to breathe in the city of Bengaluru, India. I wrote my first poem when I was (probably) 8 years old.

Star star oh beautiful star,
you are the most beautiful star,
you are the shine of the night,
you are the brightness in the night.

Cheeky, no? I’ve come a long way since then.

I discovered I could really write in the 9th grade, when I started studying Shakespeare. I wrote mostly to prove to myself that I could write like he did. I tried to write sonnets. After that, I wrote poems for friends, I wrote notes and letters to girlfriends. I wrote at poetry competitions, and won. I wrote during lectures in college. I wrote on tissues at cafes. I’ve performed poetry before crowds (yay me!) I’ve been writing ever since I can remember.

And that’s why I’m here.

You are my mission.

Weirdough with clicky typewriter

Every Saturday, I sit outside a bookshop with my typewriter—Machina —and all the paper in the world. I write notes, short poems and cards for strangers.

I have decided to do the same here on Steemit. I’m here to write to you. Ask me to write you something and I will write for you. I will write for your friends. I will write for you mother. I will write for your dog. I will write for your girlfriend. I will write for your sibling, your spouse, your bus driver, your washing machine.
